Why MDG?
Share |
MDG Boston stands at the intersection of health care and technology. It is a unique association of individuals, companies in the medical space and clinicians who belong for two reasons. The first is we share in MDG Boston’s mission focus on supporting innovation and advances in technology that lead to advances in health care. The second is our community of people that benefit from a friendly collegial atmosphere where peer to peer conversations flourish. If you share our vision, try us out - we think you’ll find you belong at MDG Boston.

How does MDG Boston achieve its lofty goals? Together, we contribute to the continuing development of medical devices and other medical technologies by providing monthly educational forums and other opportunities for every participant in a number of modes. These include:
  • learning about new medical technology
  • learning how clinicians use medical technology
  • clinicians’ perspectives on their unmet technology needs
  • learning about medicine in a manner specifically for technologists to apply in their jobs
  • peer-to-peer engagement opportunities
  • intra-job-category engagement (e.g. engineers and clinicians, regulatory and clinical manufacturing)
  • delving into medical specialties where they intersect technology

If you have any questions about MDG Boston, we invite you to contact us. We look forward to welcoming you at our next event!

What Members Are Saying

“MDG monthly meetings cover a diverse range of topics that expand the breadth and depth of my industry knowledge.

Industry trends become more clear, more quickly, and I have used specific knowledge points from meetings to make better decisions in my daily job.”

John O’Gara,
Project Manager Hologic, Inc.

“The Forum events at MDG present valuable and timely information to the med-tech community.

For example, ‘The Surgical Suite Responds to the New Business Model of Healthcare’ presented critical trends for healthcare providers in the struggle to combine quality care and cost reduction.

I gained multiple insights and usable information for our medical device/diagnostic strategy research clients on implementing cost-efficiencies in their medical devices.”

Maria Shepherd,
President Data Decision Group, LLC
