    Abstract

In crafting business strategies for broad commercial success in medtech product development, identifying and understanding the full range of patient populations and their unmet needs is essential to avoid missed market opportunities. There is also growing awareness that bringing in leadership with new insights and perspectives, for both general and historically overlooked patient populations, can strengthen planning and execution of critical paths seeking deeper, more successful market penetration.

An emerging model for medtech industry organizations in both product development and delivery is incorporating a Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) program. Done well, DEI can provide a competitive business edge, while demonstrating a commitment to better healthcare results and quality of life for all potential patients.

In this forum, you will hear from accomplished professionals within the healthcare industry who are passionate about DEI. They will share the challenges they have faced in advancing DEI as well as tools, approaches, and best practices found to be the most effective in improving healthcare outcomes and yielding superior business results.
