Current Trends in Energy Devices – Innovations in Surgery and Tissue Ablation

January 6, 2021 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm EST

Recordings

Full Length

Application of high-power electrical energy to the body (electrosurgery and radiofrequency ablation) for a variety of beneficial functions has been around for over a century. Applications include general surgical cutting and control of bleeding, tumor destruction and resection, elimination of cardiac arrhythmias, and uterine treatments for fibroids and menorrhagia. We will learn about these different energy types, where and how they are applied, and explore new and exciting innovations.

Overview

For those who want to learn about business opportunities using tissue-targeted, high-powered energies.

Application of high-power electrical energy to the body (electrosurgery and radiofrequency ablation) has been in clinical use for a variety of beneficial treatments.

The types of energies used for tissue modification have expanded over the decades into ultrasound, microwave, freezing, and lasers. Some applications include general surgical cutting and control of bleeding, tumor destruction and resection, elimination of cardiac arrhythmias.

We will learn about these different energy types, where and how they are applied, and explore new and exciting innovations
