    Abstract

    Our Moderator, Monica Mallampalli, CEO of the Institute for Women’s Health Strategies, will provide an overview on diagnostic and therapeutic market opportunities (the global market for women’s health is expected to reach $41B by 2027).
        
    Our panelists will describe innovative solutions for major unmet needs including early detection of ovarian cancer, pelvic organ prolapse, and use of thermoregulatory science to ameliorate symptoms of menopause.

      Dr. Mallampalli is a biomedical scientist, thought leader, subject matter expert and a women’s health advocate. In her CEO role, provides consulting services to non-profit and for-profit sectors. She previously served as the VP of Scientific Affairs at the Society for Women’s Health Research (SWHR) where she was the chief architect on key programs related to sex-based biology with a focus on women’s health.
       
      She will provide an overview of the state of women’s health and focus on conditions that are still under-recognized and under treated, but have the potential for development of new diagnostics and therapeutics.

      Ms. Garner has over 20 years of experience in commercializing drugs, devices and healthcare information technology. Before becoming Co-CEO of FEMselect, a women’s health medical device company, she held a variety of brand management and sales management roles in the US & Global organizations. She received her MBA from The Wharton School.
                                               
      She will provide an overview of FEMSelect’s product, EnPlace, a minimally invasive approach to Pelvic Organ Prolapse (POP) repair procedures, that can be implanted in a 30 minute procedure.

      Ms. Katayeva works on developing innovative concepts in the fields of nanotechnology and advanced optoelectronic materials. Levi Diagnostics, Inc., focuses specifically on biosensing and medical diagnostics, currently working to develop rapid, accurate, portable devices for viral diagnostics and diagnostics of women’s diseases.
                                   
      She will describe why diagnostic tests using menstrual blood are proving exceptionally useful indicators of physiology and disease.

      Ms. Dickinson is an experienced Harvard Law benefits attorney, Wharton Business School alumna and Lecturer, as well as a serial entrepreneur. Her expertise includes wearable technology, direct sales and commerce. Debbie envisioned a discreet smart tech wearable to provide thermal relief for hot flashes that utilized digital health data and founded Thermaband, Inc. with her daughter. Working with Yale scientists, physicians, engineers and a highly involved community of women, they developed the Zone, a smart temperature regulating wearable.

      She will describe the development of the Zone.

      Dr. Shapiro is co-founder, co-inventor, and President of Floelle Inc, a medical device company developing a nonsurgical treatment for one billion incontinent women. Previously, he was a Senior medtech executive at Candela Laser, Optical Micro Systems, Spectrum Medical Technologies (now Cynosure), and Fem-Medical LLC (where he worked with incontinent women for 20 years).
